How to Download, Install, and Use OpenVPN with GamersVPN
Welcome to the step-by-step guide for setting up OpenVPN Connect using GamersVPN configuration files. This guide is for iPhone/iPad (iOS) and Mac (macOS) only. If you’re on Windows or Android, use our dedicated apps instead (faster + simpler).
OpenVPN setup (Mac & iOS)
This is the easiest way to set up an OpenVPN configuration with GamersVPN on Apple devices. Follow the steps below and you’ll be connected in minutes.
Download OpenVPN Connect (iOS)
OpenVPN is a free VPN client that works with GamersVPN configuration files. Get it here: OpenVPN Connect on the App Store.
Install & open the app
Install the app, open it, and accept any prompts so you can import a profile.
Upload your .ovpn configuration file
Download a GamersVPN .ovpn file from: OpenVPN Server List. Save it to iCloud/Files, Google Drive, or email it to yourself, then import it inside OpenVPN Connect (tap File → select the .ovpn file → import).
Enter your GamersVPN username & password
Use the credentials provided after purchase in the store: GamersVPN Plans. You can enable Save password if you want OpenVPN to remember it.
Connect
Tap Connect, allow the VPN profile to be added to your device, and confirm you see a connected/green status.
Download OpenVPN Connect (macOS)
Download the official OpenVPN Connect client for Mac: OpenVPN Connect for macOS.
Install & launch the app
Open the installer, follow the prompts, then launch OpenVPN Connect from Applications.
Import your .ovpn configuration file
Download your desired server configuration from: OpenVPN Server List. In OpenVPN Connect, choose Import Profile (or File → Import) and select the .ovpn file.
Enter your GamersVPN username & password
Use the credentials shown after purchase: GamersVPN Plans. Enable “save password” if you want faster reconnections.
Connect & enjoy a secure connection
Select your imported profile and click Connect. You’re now protected and can game/browse securely.
